Ask for the
insurance first.

If an uninsured crew member is hurt in your yard, that becomes your problem. It is the single most expensive thing homeowners never ask about before letting someone climb a tree.

How we work

A Florida company, insured and willing to prove it

HAMI LLC is a limited liability company registered in the State of Florida, document number L16000055628, filed in 2016, with registration details on public record with the Florida Division of Corporations.

Three things worth knowing before you hire anyone to climb a tree. We carry general liability and workers compensation insurance and will give you a current certificate — a property owner who uses an uninsured crew can end up liable for an injury in their own yard. We do not work near energised power lines; that is the utility's work or a qualified line-clearance arborist's. And many Florida municipalities require a permit to remove a tree, while mangroves are protected by state law.

Frequently asked

The questions we get most

Why does insurance matter so much?

Because if an uninsured worker is injured in your yard, the exposure can land on you. Ask for a current certificate of general liability and workers compensation from anyone you consider, including us.

Can you cut the branches off my power line?

No. Line clearance within the minimum approach distances is the utility's work or a qualified line-clearance arborist's. We will contact the utility for you rather than work near a live conductor.

Can you just top the tree to make it shorter?

No. Topping causes decay and weak regrowth, and leaves the tree more dangerous in a few years than it is now. We will explain what can safely be reduced instead.

Do I need a permit to remove my own tree?

Often, yes. Many Florida municipalities require one, and mangroves are protected by state law. We check before cutting, because the fine lands on the owner.

Will my tree survive the next hurricane?

Nobody can promise that. Removing deadwood and thinning reduces what the storm can work with, and that is the honest limit of what tree work can do.

There is a bird nest in it.

Then we wait. Active nests are protected by federal law, and we will reschedule rather than risk it.

Got a tree you are worried about?
