The question nobody asks

Whether the crew climbing your tree carries workers compensation.

How we work

Insurance, permits, and proper cuts

Tree work is among the most dangerous trades there is, and the cheapest quote in the driveway is usually cheap because somebody is uninsured. If a worker falls in your yard without workers compensation behind them, the exposure can become the property owner's — which makes a certificate of insurance the most valuable thing you can ask to see.

Topping is the other thing sold daily that should not be. Cutting a crown back to stubs makes a tree shorter for one season and then produces weak, densely attached regrowth over decaying wood. Five years later the tree is more likely to fail, not less, and the homeowner paid for that.

And permits catch people out constantly. Many Florida municipalities require authorisation before a tree comes down, mangroves are protected by state law, and the penalty lands on the owner rather than the contractor who cut it. Checking first costs a phone call.

Our principles

Three beliefs behind the method

Show the insurance

Liability and workers comp, in writing.

Never top a tree

It creates the hazard it claims to remove.

Check the permit

The fine lands on the property owner.
